Buy to let mess

Looking for some advice, got a but to let property when I jointly owned another house with a friend, we had a falling out and I had to move into my by to let, my 'friend' rang my buy to let mortgage company as soon as I was off the joint mortgage and told them I was living in the buy to let and they have now asked to see a copy of the current tenancy agreement to update there records, would I be best to just move out and re-rent the property or will they be happy as long as they see an agreement which I do have from the previous tenant as they moved out before it ended, I have someone willing to rent the property ASAP and if desperate I could move in with my father. I am unable to change it to residential because I'm self-employed and don't have enough books but I am able to keep up with the payments. Really not sure what to do.

Best thing to keep within your terms is rent it out and provide a copy of the tenancy agreement to the lender.

  • Is it likely to be a problem that I'm no longer on another residential mortgage or is it fine as long as I am able to provide another address?
