New Mortgage Rules??

I've been approved for a Santander Mortgage but the property I am buying is causing trouble for me. I worry that I won't be able to complete before the mortgage expires at the end of July. My Mortgage was approved in March 2014 will it have been subject to the new rules or if I have to re-apply for a longer time period to complete will I have to undergo even more checks or just the millions that I've just been through?
