From April 1st I was tuped over to in house cleaning at school, I was supervisor cleaner , we had couple of formal meetings with h.r.
reguarding pensions, nothing was mentioned about me being supervisor, we were told we should notice no change . Few weeks beforehand I talked with site manager about my job just general chit chat about how my job as supervisor may not b needed and care taker will prob do the supervisor side. Which I really don't mind.
However today I was ask by site manager if I would write letter stating I no longer want to be supervisor and b normal cleaner being paid cleaner rate!
Should this been sorted properly with h.r before 1st April, is it fair I get reduced wages? Do I gave any rights?
Any advice welcomed

Tell them no thanks I am happy as it is I will remain the supervisor.
They may then try what is know as ETO reasons to make the change which could result in redundancy.
Check your house insurance for legal many cover employment issues.
They are trying it on to get you to give up you job and accept a different lower paid one.
The reason this has never been mentioned is probably it would have been a clear indication it was directly connected to the TUPE which is where they end up with problems.
They have probably brought the operation in house to reduce costs, overheads and 1 supervisor so will be likely to go with the ETO when you don't capitulate.
Directly connected toe the TUPE may be one way to try to prevent the change but will need more specialist help.
It may be that as this a school the info needed will be in some minutes from some meeting and can be obtained.0
