Mortgage misselling...

Hi, I've just received a call from a company called Full Financials. They claim to be working on behalf of the Justice & Protection dept, to help get money back for missold mortages. He was very convincing, taking me through government websites, confirming their claim no with them is CRM12580 & after answering a series of questions, claimed we could be owed over £16k.
We just needed to make a small payment of £2k upfront to start the letigation team off. Which we would get back regardless if we won or lost the claim.

Has anyone else had any experience with this company? Are they legit? We cant afford to lose that kind of money & this all seemed to be too good to be true.

Can anyone shed any light??

    Your first instinct is correct.

    Avoid.

It does not matter if he was miss-sold as long as he pays the £2K upfront

But you wouldn't make a claim unless you genuinely thought you had a case?

If you believe you have grounds for complaint, write to the firm which advised you and raise your issues with them.

If sold since regulation started in October 2004, you will be able to escalate to the FOS if you do not get a response with which you are satisfied within eight weeks.

It is anything but "clear." Avoid like the plague. Just ask them to send you the £14,000 and for them to simply keep the balance.:rotfl:

Hi, I've just received a call from a company called Full Financials.

That will be the company currently under investigation by the ministry of justice: quote copied and pasted by from the MoJ site: Credit Clear Services Ltd is being investigated by the Claims Management Regulator under regulation 35 of The Compensation (Claims Management Services) Regulations 2006.
They claim to be working on behalf of the Justice & Protection dept

    There is no such thing.

Getting a CRM number is a doddle. you could have one within a fortnight. It means nothing.
after answering a series of questions, claimed we could be owed over £16k.

So, despite knowing nothing about the documentation you have been issued, they tell you that you are owed this made up figure. Amazing.
We just needed to make a small payment of £2k upfront to start the letigation team off. Which we would get back regardless if we won or lost the claim.

And there is the advance fee in advance fee fraud.

If you ever watched Hustle, you would know how the con works. Tell you something that sounds reasonably possible. Play to your greed (the 16k in this case) and then hit you with a smaller up front fee that many people will pay as they let their greed get the better of them.

Swansea is the cold calling scam capital of the UK

Magic beans would provide a better return on your £2,000.
