Mortgage - Student + Partner

I am currently a student in my final year at university and have a graduate job for September. My partner has a steady full time job and we have been looking at getting a mortgage on a helptobuy new house with a 5% deposit (that we have saved) whilst the scheme is still available. However we didn't know what the likelihood is in us getting a mortgage with joint application based on the fact that i am currently still a student and only start work in September? Any help and advice would be highly appreciated :)

    That dependents on the Lender.

Don't take mortgage such like that, as if you are thinking to take mortgage loan then should ask your parents.

Mortgage would be based on your partners income and you would be classed as a dependent at the moment. No reason not to go ahead now if your partners income allows it. If not best wait until you are both working. If you are looking at new build you may be able to get a heads up on which plots will be available at the end of this year/beginning of next and be in a good position to get some thing worth the wait.

    This is not the case.

    It depends on the Lender.

An experienced broker can assist you in these scenarios.
