The Debt collection Wescot,

when they send you collection letters of debt of credit cards Llyds Tsb and Halifax, and phone calls etc.

Have they purchased,
(I mean 6+ months since a payment has been made, and arrangement has been made)

or they are just acting on behalf on them, with Llyds and Halifax still being the original owners? do they

Are Wescot known for purchasing debts? or just act as a collection agency without purchasing it ?

    Bit of both I believe.

The are acting on behalf of RBS with me.

    If in doubt, ask them.

  • Usually 'acting on behalf of'

Check if they are still referring to Lloyds/Halifax as their 'client'

I doubt they will of sold them so soon
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

The above DCA`s usually "act on behalf of a client" ie, the debt has been assigned, that means that you can, if you wish, ignore the DCA in that instance, as the original lender still owns the debt, companies like Lowell usually buy debts pretty quick, catalogue debts and the like, original creditors rarely take court action unless the debt is quite a large one, normally the debts get passed around DCA`s like car keys at a swingers party;) !!!
