Solar panels included in house purchase, how to get payments?

From the photo link I can now see its the inverter in the shed next to the panels and the generator meter next to our electric box in the house.
When I first posted I was completely 'green' in the sense I knew very little about the panels other than they generated electricity and there was a payment I could get from an energy company they are registered with.
Thanks to everyone who's replied I feel that now I have some understanding of what they do for me.
My mission is still to get the previous owner to sign the registration over to me so I can claim the fit payment. I have recently had a chasing letter for an outstanding electricity bill of over £400 for electric used by the previous owner, their provider was EDF. Is it likely their fit payment would also come from them?0 -

It's more than likely that FIT payments would come from same company as normal electricity bills. Not by any means certain but a lady verging on dementia is unlikely to have taken trouble to change suppliers very often or go through to the effort of arranging FIT payments with one of the specialist agencies.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
Frostybrook,
I spoke to EDF last week about FIT payments should I ever switch energy providers. They said that whether I stayed with them or not all FIT payments would come from them for the duration of the contract.
Solar PV contracts are quite separate from energy ones. Hope that helps.Cheers,
Ray.
