occupier consent...help!

Hi,

Myself and my partner are buying our first property together and we are almost at completion stage. The mortgage and property is solely in my name due to my partners lower income. He has recently been asked to sign an Occupiers consent form...I understand this is to consent to leaving the property and wanting no proceeds of the sale should the property be reposessed. Im just wondering...if he signs this form, does he then throw his right away to ever have his name on the mortgage or the deeds to the property (as once hes earning more we're hoping to add
him to the mortgage)

It won't effect his right to be added to the mortgage later, as long when you look to add him with a transfer of equity he then meets the lenders criteria.
