I won a holiday

:T Oh I feel a bit excited
I have never won anything, I have been using this site for a while and found the competitions thread the other week while eating my lunch I entered a few. I thought nothing more about it, other than "what did I do that for, I never win anything".
Just got a phone call, I entered a comp for a Carribean Holiday all inclusive, they said they were sorry I had not won that, but I had won a European Holiday for 4 for 7 nights, Flights and self catering accomodation. I can go to Turkey, Tennereif, Costa del Sol or Austria. They said I had to go into their office in Merseyside to confirm and that I would need to pay £29 per person, but that was all.
Seems to good to be true, they are sending me the info, oh I am so excited, I can't remember who posted the comp but whoever you are thank you so much :T :T :T

I dont wish to bring you bad news but this is a time share con. They phone people to say they have won then you have to go to a meeting where they tell you all about their timeshares. Then you each pay a booking fee £29 EACH. REAL COMPETITIONS WHERE YOU WIN REAL HOLIDAYS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING. I received one of these calls last week and told them where to go. I have won many real holidays twice to Las Vegas, Italy, Germany, Amsterdam and Pontins twice. When you win they arrange all the flights hotel spending money food etc at no cost to you. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but hopefully you will win a real holiday soon. Have a loook at the Pontins comp and the Cruise to Asterdam as people are still winning on those.Competitions wins 2010

Hi,
I hate to say this but I think it is too good to be true! I think it is a timeshare company, I had a call from them as well about a month ago. You will have to go to a 'presentation' which we did and got £50 of vouchers just for going. We were very strong willed and didnt buy anything and we can go on the holiday for the £29 but we have to attend 2 presentations when we are there, and I have heard that these are terrible, and they last for hours and hours.
I was gutted cause I thought I had won! I hope you have actually won but the rule seems to be if they ask you to pay anything its not a prize.

I can also confirm that this is a time share con. I had the phone call about 3 months ago now, was told to call another number. I never bothered after googling the number I was given and discovering the con. When they called a week later to see why I hadn't called and told them I knew they were a timeshare company, they admitted it.
I have heard that if you are very strong willed, you can get a cheap holiday out of it, but i just couldn't be bothered to sit through hours of presentations.0 -

Thanks, I suppose I did think it might not be all they said.
But if I can get a holiday for £29 each I might give it a go, and it is not about the willpower of not buying a timeshare. Quite simply I have not got any money so can and would not.
Thank you all for advice, I might give the number a call and ask some more questions.
