Best job to choose?

Hi guys I need some advice
I originally applied for a mi analyst role. I have been offered a job in this role however another company has offered me a forecast analyst inventory role and I'm not sure which one to take. I know the forecast role has a lot of similarities to an mi role from a analysing reporting perspective but has the added forecasting.. I would like to become a mi/business analyst one day so which one would benefit me more from the 2 roles?
Thanks

Pay, benefits, company, prospects, location.
analyse the pros and cons of each job.
If you can't are you choosing the right career?0 -
You want to be an mi analyst one day, and you've been offered a job as an mi analyst. Am I missing something? No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

I would like to be a mi/business analyst one day however I thought maybe the forecast analyst role would allow me to have a greater skill set and allow me to still build on my mi skills as the forecast role requires analytical reporting skills0

You really need to sit down and do a SWOT analysis for each role and then make your decisions from there.
Only you have all the facts to hand about the companies, the roles and the profiles.:hello:0 -
Are these entry level postions that will include specific training for the role? If so then it may be that the MI job will give you a stronger grounding if you wish to make your future career in MI. However, if you want to keep your options open then the Forecasting job may give you training in a wider range of subjects but with less depth.0

I already have an mi background in a few different companies.0

which is the biggest step up
how long have each of your last few jobs been?0 -
I forgot to mention that I already have mi background and these are not entry positions. I thought the forecasting would give a new skill set to add on to my mi whereas the mi role might just build them up more in a different field. The benefits offered fore the forecast analyst are better that the mi one and it's a massive well known company.0

Hmmm. If it were me I'd be tempted to take the forecasting role. It would give you a new skill as you say0
