Lash growth serum reviews

Would be great to read reviews on lash growth serums from cheap to expensive.
I'm currently trying out the Loreal Lash Boosting serum. Can't say whether I've noticed any difference in the length and/or thickness as I haven't been using it for long enough.
I've been scanning the internet for different lash growth serums, but there are loads of them.
Would also be interesting to hear what people's opinions are on lash growth mascaras too.

The one that really worked as it was created by a doctor for cancer patients whose lashes fell out is Revitalash. But because so many complained about side effects they had to take the ingredient that really worked out.
The beauty industry jumped on the idea, if you don't have 3 feet long lashes then you must use these products. They were created for people who lost all their eye lashes because of cancer and other illness. If you have normal lashed then you don't need these sort of products. Your lashes fall out every 6 weeks usually(you don't notice as its a few at a time), new ones grow to replace. So you then are in the cycle of having to use these products all the time, or go back to your normal lashes. Oh the horror.
Now stepping off my soap box and if you want to waste your money one something you really don't need, unless you have no eyelashes go for it.0 -
I personally have hardly any eyelashes and I mainly use mascara to darken them.
I don't mind having to use lash growth serums even if it only helps to condition the lashes.
If I had a fairly decent set of lashes, I'd probably not bother with serums.
I have read that brands like Lattise do have many side effects, so I would avoid those as it's not worth the risk.0 -
I used the Mavala one (about £10 from Boots).
It conditioned my lashes nicely and seemed to help them get thicker as they were growing.
I had no lashes after chemotherapy and so it could be that they would have grown back anyway without the serum, but it was worth a try for £10.0 -
Hi Devil If you are going to do it do not mess about with mascaras use the actual drug that showed the clinical effect. Also revitalash is hellishly expensive. I bought Careprost from alldaychemist.com about $12 with brush My lashes have thickened and grown to the point where I have to be cautious not to apply too much mascara. Now use only once per week This is an FDA approved drug- as such is subject to much more rigorous scrutiny in terms of side effects than cosmetics. Only side effects I have noted are that it causes areas applied to to darken, so do not get it on your lids or put it on lower lashes as it would smudge beneath the eye Hope this is helpful. Before I get an absolutely enormous attack from forum members I am recovering post chemo, and quite frankly anything I can do to make me feel better about myself I am going to do0

I use a mix of castor oil and olive oil on my hair and eyelashes (very carefully on the eyelashes, using an old mascara wand), a small bottle of castor oil will last for ages. I get the organic stuff from a reputable brand as I don't really want to risk using random cheap oil. For the olive oil, I use the one I have in the kitchen anyway (extra virgin, organic) Ok, so it's no magic
and it won't give the false eyelashes / hair full of extensions look, but it certainly strengthens them
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
I have used Revitalash for about 3 years and swear by it. I earn my money through hard work and endeavour and choose to spend it this way. I have actually written about my experience of Revitalash on my blog here as you mentioned that you wanted to know about other people's experience.0

I am about 9 weeks into using Revitalash and seeing good results, my lashes are fine and very pale/grey, so far they have more colour and a lot more length, when mascara applied they look great. I have just taken delivery of a second tube of Revitalash in readiness for finishing the current one and when I get to the maintenance stage intend to alternate with organic castor oil/olive oil mix. Although expensive this regime is affordable for me and I am loving having eyelashes that are visible to me (specs wearer):DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Thanks for all the replies.
Where is the best place to buy Revitalash? Normally I wouldn't be able to afford the pull out, but I have some money I got instead of Christmas/birthday gifts. So wouldn't be opposed to using that.0 -

It's a shame you didn't take before photos. I would have liked to have seen what your lashes were like before you used the product.
I have very sensitive eyes and am a contact lens wearer, so do have to be careful what I use.0 -

I agree, however, I'm afraid that I didn't blog at all back then, so didn't think to take a photo. My lashes were both shorter (by about 3mm) and whilst not sparse, they were not as thick as they are now. They are now back to how they were when I was in my 20s.0
