looking forward to world cup now.:rotfl:
When Spain won the world cup a few years ago we were on holiday in Spain at the time.
Now, I can't stand footy in any shape or form but when with OH in a Spanish caf! watching Spain and Holland play for the title I got swept up in the whole atmosphere experience of it.
Instantly as Spain scored the winning goal cars blocked all the streets honking and shouting. The Dutch supporters lined all the streets clapping their hands and cheering with smiling faces.
This went on for hours...even the police took part in the street parading.
It was quite a moving scene to see and 1 I would happily take part in again

He could have tried the neighbours - looks like they were in as they saw the flowers and looked after them. Citylink annoyed me this week too with their poor delivery system - I was notified that a parcel would be delivered between certain hours and both DH and I kept a lookout for the van. I was working on the front drive when I saw the van speed past my house without even slowing down! I expected him to come back but he didn't. When I emailed to complain they said he had tried to eliver but nobody was in - although they couldn't understand why he hadn't left a card.
I know why there was no card - its cos he didn't come to the b***** door ! anyone can make a mistake but lying about it afterwards is not a good idea. I hope he did get a b********.
I had a card on wednesday for missed delivery but consignment number was not readable so unable to track or re arrange delivery. Waited in all day thursday and nothing. Friday I worked out who delivery was from and contacted them. They gave correct tracking number and it said out on van delivery by 14.50 but running late. Nothing again and nothing today.
Items shows online as on van each day. I emailed citylink on wednesday and again on friday. No reply. Unable to get through on either numbers, just says phone busy and cuts out.
This is horrendously bad service plus I have sat in for 2 and half days. Garage is always unlocked but apparently needs signing for.
Sorry, good evening everyone. My mum is home and slept amazingly well last night despite jet lag. My feet are ensconced in lush warm Australian sheepskin boots:T Not the fashion label uggs but quarter of the price and proper ones:T:T
Lazy day with just a visit over to mums. She was thrilled with the welcome fridge full of food I left her. Sounds like she had a lovely visit although worse autumn in South Australia for 30 years.
Step dad not quite as thrilled with weather but they did visit a lot of different wind farms.
