So Sorry to hear about you poor dog, sadly my mum had to take the same decision about her dog yesterday, Molly was a 17 year old Yorkshire Terrier and much loved

So sorry to hear about your mums dog. I hope she is ok. It's hit me a lot harder than I thought it would. We just have to remember all the lovely times we had with them and we know that they had the best life we could have given them.:)

Good afternoon all:)! Wishing you well bubbs and Happy Birthday Damo. Also appropriate wishes (sad or good) to everyone else etc.:A

Such a pain to see the diced chicken fillets returning N/A. Do they ever price-match anyone? Sort of makes a mockery of the 'won't lose out' claim if the muggles buy 1 pack and don't have the £4vs £2 comparison. That could well have made a difference.

Anyway, I was already just about to post and it's altered the tenor of this post: I was going to say 'has anyone tried the diced chicken fillets? I think they'll work better than you think they will... in my view safer than the Schwartz Ground Cloves'.:eek:I was going to add an 'eek' on the post I was going to do until I saw the result.

Right, I'm not going to be here over the rest of the day or tomorrow as I have 'other things to do'. Was going to say maybe try the Diced Chicken tomorrow or Saturday. Whilst I now don't want to be encouraging things, having seen the result, I'd thought that Friday/Saturday/Sunday might be the best days for this to work (and I now add 'if it ever does').

My thought was 'don't they collect prices on Mondays and Thursdays?'. I think we've seen before, albeit that this week was/is a Bank Holiday week - oh so wish it was a week:) - that prices have updated on T PP sooner and 'must' have been obtained instore on the Monday morning. I gleaned once (after things went up the Khyber path:() that prices on T PP for A and S are from the previous day(?). So, not sure if regarding M people have caught it (or rather failed to catch it:() too early.

    10. We collect price data from our competitors using an independent external agency as follows
    [...]
    b. Twice-weekly in-store price-checks in 3 Morrisons stores.

    [...]
    12. [...] We check Morrisons prices at three stores, twice weekly. Where prices are found to be different, we use the most commonly occurring price. In the event that all the available prices for Morrisons are different, no fair price can be used for a Tesco Price Promise comparison, and therefore the product will be marked N/A.
    https://www.tescopricepromise.com/TermsConditions

I think what's likely to have happened is:
They found the product at £4 in one of the stores (old stock)
They picked it up at the new £2 price in another
They failed to find it in the third store

Therefore prices are all inconsistent and returns N/A:(:(:(:(.

    Finally, the T&Cs also state

    14. Alcohol prices and promotions in Scotland are specifically matched against Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons’ Scottish prices.

Which, surely, must mean that one of the three stores is in Scotland? aau1, do you have the Diced Chicken Fillets in your (main) M store?

Not that that has any bearing, as we don't know which stores the agency uses. But just wanting to know that this product isn't an England(-Wales) exclusive thing.

Just hoping today (or whenever) they have the £2 price in two of their stores although not stocked at the third one.

These sorts of things were always risky (and still are) as it seems M has sometimes got different sizes in different stores and/or doesn't stock some of them in some stores (more so than the 'normal' other product ranges - in other words not talking your obscure specialist stock here only found in the biggest stores). I've always had no success getting the APG to compare to a 385g different Chicken Breast which, although clear as light in one of my stores, wasn't stocked in any of theirs (and they use six stores). Apart from major differences in weight between chains, that often mean fresh meat is non-comparable, it's also why not a lot of fresh meat appeared on my previous lists (from 'back in the day' (oh, making it sound very old now:)), last year). And things that haven't worked before (such as 385g chicken breasts) are often left off later. Also they sometimes come in on 'special purchases' (weren't available before, only available one week, not the next) which can mean they don't get picked up (yet APG has compared vs special purchases on other range of products before? And it's picked up RTCs, that exist beyond one store). All of this does get accounted for 'behind the scenes' in my hypothetical:laugh: lists.

This Diced Chicken Mini Fillets is clearly available in Ms and did exist last week. (Sometimes things get bought in for an offer, as a special, for one week, 'specially purchased' but this one isn't one of those.) We (I?) am hoping they pick up £2, £2 and no trace next time they check (possibly today, tomorrow morning - hopefully not the latter as that suggest won't work morning may work Fri. afternoon, but again you could have it too early on in the afternoon or it may never work anyway).

Also the problem - particularly if an item is on a 'good offer', as the Diced Chicken in M is (it's at my £5/kg trigger point, even without anything more off) - is that it is likely to sell out each day pretty quickly and thus leave the price-checkers with an N/A. Although the APG still, in theory at least, takes the price SEL even if the product is found out of stock, I don't know what T PP does and maybe they find empty shelving and mark as N/A. Even if whether or not there is any offer label with the £2 price there. You'd have thought it might be 'same agency' (msm?) as these are specialist price-collecting businesses, and msm being the largest, but the two price collections (one for A and one for T) are separate and can't be ruled out they don't have different rules (of how they should be operating - which of course the mainly or exclusively neuro-typical collector workers will quite often fail to follow:D).

Btw, I ought to mention that the Pork Shoulder is now (i.e. yesterday) at £2.99/kg in Morries. Not the cheapest it's been (it's been down to £2.50/kg before) - but this has been a product that has compared on T PP before, very favourably (details way back then came from a womble, after I had hesitated and already decided not to include the item for some of the reasons above). Nonetheless, I think T then used to stock 1kg+ pork shoulders, yet according to msm they now have 850g(?) (this from memory and may itself now be out of date)?

Make of the information as you will: 1kg Pork Shoulder, M £2.99.

(Not going on to the list due to above still doubt about weight, given apparent weight changes, and not going on buy in M as not near best it's been:p:rotfl:. But it ought to be mentioned, and is now being mentioned, as may work out very good if it does work!)

Also - neck-sticking out time: I think the Whole Cloves unlikely to return but that the Bart Lemon Grass is going to work! Just my hunch. The Avocados have been shown as working before on T PP. Came from a womble again, after months of me posting them on the lists at M's 99p/£1 price (may have been £1 then, 99p now), as seemed people shying off trying them. If anyone has them, let us know! See, you are shying off sometimes great offers that do work.:rotfl::rotfl: (! - as might go wrong.)

I've had an item on ebay for sale for what seems like months and it looks like I've just sold it for the full BIN price and not even an offer...

Very pleased that its finally gone but it does mean that I'm now going to have to pack it up and go stand in the PO queue this afternoon....and I was hoping not to have to go out in the rain...
