Could you not just cook some and put them in the fridge, or would it not be the same?

Not the same. He gets to open the pack, read the instructions in great detail, have a debate about times given for an 850w microwave when ours is only 800w :o, let them cool for a minute as per pack instructions and feel chuffed that he followed instructions.
Fridge cooled sausages don't have that :D

My kids are mad for the hot choc! I have to hide it and ration it out. DS2 feels very grown up making his own hot drinks.
I paid £2.50 on Friday for microwave sausages so he could make a sausage butty by himself :o Worth every penny :D he was well chuffed with himself! :)

My son used to love the little microwave pizzas as he could do them himself.

Hot choc, my step dad is an insomniac and has 2 or 3 a night. Mum refuses to get the cadburys and now gets suchard as 16 in pack and makes him put a top of milk in.
As I don't have milk in my fridge I like my machine as can make drinks for guests without having to buy milk. My dad uses the coffee pods but not sure he realises about the milk ones so stock goes strange after he visits.
So machine useful to me and cost effective as usually make 4 or 5 drinks a week.

The thing is, medico-legally, you have to do an abdominal x-ray to confirm it's there.

    It most definitely was!
