Hello all
just popping on to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone that has donated to our just giving page I'm trying to get round to messaging you all individually to say thank you but it's taking a little while
and thanks for the words of support, it means a lot.
For anyone that doesn't know my mum (Leenie) found out she had ovarian cancer last march, she has since had months of chemo followed by a total abdominal hysterectomy and then more chemo. It's been a horrible year for us all but hopefully things are on the up and mums going to be one of the lucky ones.
We are now both running race for life in May and are trying to raise as much money as we can to help the research into finding a cure for cancer. We also want to help make women aware of ovarian cancer, it's the fifth most common cancer in the uk but we don't think it's mentioned enough. Mum went to the doctors originally with bloating to her stomach and pains to her side, other then that she was fit and healthy. It's important it's caught early as it can quickly spread to other areas, unfortunately mum didn't catch it early enough because she didn't recognise the signs.
I will make sure I post some pictures of us on the race day, me, mum and my 18 month old will be taking part. Any ideas what we can wear would be great, we're going pink but want to do something abit different..... We did think along the lines of grease pink ladies but I'm sure it been done lots of times before, so any ideas please let us know
Once again a massive thank you! Sorry for the long post xxxxxx
Toni, please keep on giving updates. x0 -

.
Got the £10 meal deal, for the main I chose the Rotisserie Chicken - this is fresh not cooked as I thought which is better for us as we can get a few meals out of it. A tip for those who are thinking of getting the chicken, look along the poultry aisle and not on the front end, hopefully you will find a nice plump one as I did, mine was marked up at £7.76. To get up to the highest spend as possible within the meal deal I went for one of the higher priced sides and a pud, but still healthy options and chose the Fresh Fruit Salad for £3, the Rosemary Pots for £2.30 together with the Blush Frizzanti for £6.99. I was adding it up in my head as I was going round and knew I had roughly £5 left for the 'till to see'. Chose 2 packs of Fine Asparagus Tips £2.50 each but on offer for 2 for £3.
Scanned my green redeem and then it came up with the age prompt, sa came over and said how busy she was, approved the wine, I forgot my reusable bag so charged 5p for that, but the whole shop after moc came to £8.05. Total spend before discounts was £25.20
After reading about green redeem today I checked it out on google and then joined could you give me a few tips of the best way to acquire points and how many I need to get a £5 voucher please. ThanksLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
