This is a very good book first steps in wine making I got mine from eBay for £1.00:)
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Steps-Winemaking-C-Berry/dp/1854861395
A bit of an old book but some great recipes there was an old gent that lived by me .He used to give us a bottle of wine now and then.

It was lovely wine and very strong he suggested the book as I was interested in making some wine.

And I needed somewher to start as I had only made cider in the past. It was his holy grail of wine making and he knew his stuff and had the results to prove it.

Last year I made 50L of blackberry wine and it was delicious :D

How much does it work out at abottle please?:)

Ive always fancied trying it but couldn't help thinking it would be more expensive than glitchy wine!!;):D

    Evening all :)

Just spent a very frustrating hour having a very frustrating conversation with DS2 about whether it's acceptable to use the word 'screwed'
overheard by me....him saying to the dog 'that's it spaniel Im screwed now thanks to you' (The dog chewed a teddy bear and there was stuffing everywhere)
Apparently 'screwed' is acceptable because everyone on Nickleodeon says it.

I said I'd rather you didn't use it and (stupidly) said Well it didn't mean getting a telling off when I was growing up  I spent the rest of the conversation body swerving questions about what else it could mean except getting in trouble. The conversation ended with 'Bart Simpson says it as well........' :o

I still don't think he should use it. I'm not being an old fart, am I?? :o:rotfl:

Nope, I agree with you...my 2 who are a bit younger than your DS are addicted to I-Carly and Sam & cat and some of the stuff on there really isn't appropriate for kids...I'm hoping it goes over their heads but have heard them coming out with stuff they really shouldn't be!

    £15 divide by 70 is 0.214

    £20.30 divide by 100 is 0.203

    But I know you've got fillers:o

Not fillers, but from asda, the same as you, and you also get the 10% cheaper, so £13.50 a bottle.

And there we go... on the papers review in the last couple of minutes (probably three, four minutes now this page resets and loses my original post attempt:p) - you can rewind on watch BBC News Channel live on the internet (if you have a TV licence:p) - the phrase "you're damned if you do and damned if you don't". What about that one?

One last question before the nightshift really gets going: Wickes have voucher codes for £10 off £50 or £20 off £100 starting today. Is there any reason why I can't place several orders to be able to get the kitchen I want at essentially 20% off? Has anyone else ever done similar? DH has just placed an order for home delivery and one for store collection, but is now reluctant to do any more. Any advice that helps me get rid of a vile green kitchen would be much appreciated :D

tell me about it DS3 uses so many american words & refuses to use the english versions :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: another thing he's picked up is saying what the mmmm? i've had to tell him off for that as even though he's not saying the swear word it is still implied

another dubious word, well for me anyway is 'freakin' used in place (I think) of the other F word.
I'll tell you what, I'm wondering if Im right now or if I need to loosen up and get wiv the program innit

......Ive really questioned myself tonight :o

(Or a 70cl bottle and a nice box of 1p chocs might look an ever better pressie, or perhaps a 2l (paid to walk out of the shop) bottle of coke) :D
