Tax code not changed this month

I'm due for AD at the end of May and have been paying NT IPA only since my BR as I had no surplus income. I've paid this every month and payments stopped at the beginning of April as the new tax year started. The thing is that the new tax code hasn't been applied to this months income and I don't know what to do with the surplus, I've put it aside just incase but do I need to make another payment even though they stopped at the beginning of the month? Do I tell the OR what's happened? Ring the tax office etc to find out why it's not been applied?
At a bit of a loss really so any advice is welcome
Thanks RC

You are right to keep it to one side - check your employer has not already received the new TC but have overlooked/ been slow to apply it (thats what happened to me this month) Once I pointed it out to pay roll they said 'ooops - sorry bout that' so I'll pay double tax next month. Did you get a new TC notification in the post from HMRC recently? If so take a copy into pay roll.
If your employer hasn't got the new TC, get them to call up or you can call yourself.0 -
Thanks for that, it has put my mind at rest and I'm glad it's not just me. I have got the notification letter so will call payroll on Monday. If they double up my tax next month then hopefully it will even out with the amount I out aside.:T Looking forward to the future :T0
