2 year gap on CV - unsure what to say

I've been out of work for the past 2 years ish. I've gone from a successful office job good money down to JSA and living on 70 a week. Reason why I left my old job was due to being bullied by at least 3 senior members of staff.
Without sounding like I want a pitty party, it did effect me for a long time and even more so now as I've fully lost confidence in myself. I have been going to interview after interview, not getting the job doubting myself and my abilities while the gap in my cv is getting longer and longer.
I'm really not sure what to say to potential employers now at this point about the huge gap in my CV. I don't want to be honest n say I was bullied out of the role because I don't believe that looks very favourable. I have said so many different things ie travel, sickness, bereavement etc etc and each time I just don't know what to say for the best. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You have to be honest. Why lie? If you get found out later then a future company would be within their rights to terminate your employment.:jI am an Employment Law Paralegal and an experienced Human Resources Manager and offer my guidance as simply that ... guidance :j0

You need to make a positive out of a negative and show how you've used the time to do voluntary work, learn new skills or update the ones you already have. You also need to show what you've learned from the experience and how it's helped you to change and grow.0
