Wherever I look they are so expensive, my printer won't let me put replacements in and I have to have real thing. eBay and amazon are so expensive. Anyone found a good supplier that does offers for epson?

You don't say what printer you have or what the problem is with using replacement cartridges.
I get mine (Daisy replacements) from 1st Call Inks via Amazon. My printer knows they are not originals but doesn't "stop" me from using them. I usually have to turn the printer off and back on again, maybe more than once, after I've changed a cartridge. I still get the little thingy showing how much ink is left.
The cartridges come with instructions, including not to allow software updates for the printer, which might make the chip in the cartridges not work. They also have a helpline if you have problems, but I've never needed to use it.0 -
i have been using replacement carts for a while and not had any problems on any of the epson printers i have used , i did invest in a chip resetter off ebay for £2.99 this tricks the printer and worksall the time"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

Sorry, it's an epson stylus px730
I've been reading up on the error messages when you load compatible cartridges instead of genuine and it seems there is a way round it but I'm not massively computer savvy so will need idiots guide I think
Kernow can you post link to chop re setter please
Marmaduke, I tried putting non genuine in ages ago and just thought that I couldn't do it, I will try again0 -
I get my cartridges from this Ebay seller, not had any problems as they usually have the up to date chips on them.
I don't have your model printer myself so there is no guarantee it won't be a waste of money, but for £3.48 for a full set delivered I would take a punt on at least trying them.. Compared to £63 for a full original set :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Sorted!
Printer will now accept non genuine cartridges and I have ordered a set from the seller suggested Silly goose
Thanks everyone0 -
I would also suggest (if not already done) that you disable automated updates to Epson software and drivers on your PC.0

If your printer is actually a PX730WD I would seriously suggest this:-

I have used this system on Canon printers for the last 3 years - brilliant ! I am amazed that so few people use it......................0 -
