are fix rate deal with Lloyds finished about 6 months ago and for the most part paid above the variable rate as rates came down, the chance you take i know and have no complaints about that ,however when are deal ended and are payments went down all well and good but i like the security of knowing what we have to pay out so contacted Lloyd who we have been with for around 30 years ,could not do online and told in branch best to ring after three phone calls lasting around two hours in total and answering every question going i am told i cannot afford my mortgage payments ,so won't be able to put me on a new fixed rate deal, new government guidelines HELLO ive never missed a payment and my payments would go down another government !!!! up .but i can stay on the rate i'm on which could go up alot in the next 2-4 yrs then i might not be able to afford it nice one david!

I dont think its Davids fault.
I think you probably have tony to blame for this one.
Look at this from the lenders view. You tie into a 2 year deal, 12 months down the line you cant afford your mortgage and have to sell up, you then have ERCs to pay.
