1YR Course Level 4 Diploma

Hi. Just wondered if any one knows if my daughter would be eligible for a student loan.
She's thinking of doing a level 4 Diploma which is a 1yr course, it constitutes 450 guided learning hours over 35weeks. It consists of 4 units generating 64 ten hour credits. She's hasn't applied for a Student loan before and satisfies all the other things like living in the UK for 3years etc etc.
Also does this still mean a full time or part time course?
Thanks

Have found out this is a full time course so my question is, cna you get a loan for a higher education course that only lasts a year?0

I think level 4 is classed as further education rather than higher education. If she is 24+ then she should be able to get a loan to cover the course costs through student loans. Best advice is to talk to the college/uni that is running the course. They will know which courses qualify for what funding

Thanks. No, it's definetly Higher and not Further. Higher Education starts at Level 4 up to Level 8 I believe. Also she is only 19 so wouldn't be able to take up the plus 24 Loan. I've looked at most of the Student Loan pages for advice but none of them answer that specific question.0

Look under 'Fees'
