CCJ says one thing Bryan Carter are telling me diffrent? help please??

Hi all I am seeking some more advice please.
Recently i had a CCJ entered against me for a debt from lowell finance and Bryan carter solicitors.
on the judgment for claimant letter from Northampton county court it says "i must pay the claimant £1,990.25 by installments of £50 per month starting 4th may 2014"

anyway today i recieve a letter from Bryan Carter Solicitors saying......

"a count court judgment was entered against you on the 4th April in respect of this debt. you have 30 days from the date of judgment to pay the debt in full after which it will remain on the county court register of judgments for a period of six years" "in order to avoid this and to stop further action please contact us to make payment"

so what i don't understand is...surley if the court says i can pay in installments i can and Bryan Carter are trying their luck??? i don't know but i have had no end of issues trying to deal with them.
any advice most welcome and thank you

*If* you can pay it in 30 days then it does not go fully on record. Otherwise you pay it by installments according to the schedule and it does go on the record.
  • phew!! i thought they were going to act up again, there would be no way i could pay it in full yet.

    Hello there,

So long as you stick to the payment arrangement as ordered by the court it would be difficuly for Bryan Carter to take further action via enforcement measures - such as bailiffs. If they try and get you to change the amount you pay please ensure that you do not do this. if they want you to pay more they must apply to the court to 'vary' the order. if you are a homeowner they *could* apply to secure a charging order agains the property - even if you have not breached the instalments.

    Best wishes,

    David @natdebtline

Bryan Carter idiots trying to frighten and bully you even after they have taken you to court.

How on earth anybody with a conscience can work for them is beyond me.

Ignore what DCA`s or there tame solicitors tell you, make sure you DO abide by what the court tells you, that's all you need to worry about.

Except in this instance it could actually be really useful information for the OP and prevent them from having a CCJ registered.

I don't want you to think I am stalking you but you do post quite a lot on this board and most of your posts are a thinly disguised attempt to bash any DCA (or similar) without any real thought into the potential consequences for the posters you are responding to. As I mentioned in a different thread you don't have much of a clue really and should probably do a lot more research before attempting to advise anyone.

in that case ignore the debt collector and keep to the instalments ordered by the court.
