Providing documentation isnt an issue we have everything in place and could email it over today, just dont know if thats how it works
I agree with amnblog, if they cant be bothered with your application just because your on holiday then theres a problem with their attitude.
Find someone local and get the job done right rather than a lazy one whos going to require pushing all the way.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Very lazy, all our dealings with our IFA were, after an initial face to face meeting, done over email with 1 or 2 phone calls and there was a point where they had to wait around 10 days for my wife's latest payslip to be produced and another gap of over a week where I was waiting for paperwork from HMRC, this was not an issue, so saying an application would be cancelled because of a delay in answering a query seems total BS.
You could take things like payslips etc. with you on holiday. If they want bank statements, they can be accessed online and forwarded. Information requested from you, you might have to request elsewhere, you could put the request in while on holiday and have the documents waiting for you when you get home. In short, I don't see what the problem is with a holiday.0 -
Well I definitely don't think that it's worth pursuing this bloke at l&c, I ended up emailing him earlier asking him if we could we start progressing things and that I could email him over everything this evening. His response was basically don't bother as some lenders might want originals!
Guess he doesn't really want to know.
Don't know of any brokers around locally, not any that take their fees from the commission for the mortgage anyway.
I guess we might just have to wait until we get back from hols and get things moving then , the agents said today the vendor hasn't instructed a solicitor yet so to be honest I guess not much will happen whilst I'm away anyway0 -
Bit more work involved with yours than a case with both employed.
A broker who can get you the best deal is worth paying a fee for don't you think? L&C have caused considerable distress to a client I spoke to recently basically because they couldn't be bothered to research the clients properly.
Sometimes you get what you pay for. L&C seem to fall into the paying with peanuts bracket.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
