Halifax Valuation

Hi all,

Halifax valued the property i am trying to buy yesterday so i was just wondering if anyone knew whats the normal timescale on letting my broker/me know if it was all ok etc ?

  • Ours was valued on a Tuesday and we had the letter in the post on Thursday. No idea if that's the normal way or not!

    My valuation on my property took aboyt 6 days, they are swamped in the mortgage team at the moment with the new rules, so advisable to follow up with them.

    Viewing 2/3/14
    Offer accepted 14/03/14
    Mortgage Offered 17/03/14
    Valuation 21/03/14
    Solicitors Questionnaire 25/03/14
    Solicitor received mortgage offer from Halifax 15/04/14
    Searches completed 18/04/14
    Fixtures and Fittings list received 20/04/14
    Valuation report received by solicitor 22/04/14

    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
