Hello
Wonder if anyone can help me. I recently left my previous employer for a new opportunity.
They asked me to return my Laptop, Iphone and Ipad back to them in Bournemouth. I live in Peterborough and they agreed I could leave it in their Peterborough "hub" office.
I left the equipment with them in a box with wrapping for them to pick up with a courier they arranged. I took a photo of the equipment to show it was in perfect working order.
Two weeks later I've received a letter from them stating that in transit the Ipad screen was cracked and I now owe them £50 to repair that they will deduct from my last pay.
I've argued that I did as instructed and left the equipment with them and as the courier was organised by them I cant see how they can blame me? Does anyone know where I stand with this?

Did you wrap them for transit or leave materials for them to be wrapped? Are they claiming that your wrapping was not good enough and the reason they were damaged?But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
