Loan/credit rating advice needed please!!

Hi everyone. I have a lot of debts and a bad credit rating. My partner is going to apply for a bank loan so that I can pay off all my debts, and start again building up my credit rating. However, he never got put on the electoral roll here, and his bank still think he lives at his sister's house (not on the roll there either). If he gives them our address, will the fact he's living with me go against him (we don't have joint accounts), or should he give his sister's address? I am so worried, please help!

why will getting another loan make it possible to pay off your debt.


why doesn't your partner get on the electoral roll?


not being on the EL at your address can be a problem but it's impossible to say until you apply

I have various debts, which include missed payments on some, and I want to consolidate my debts. I can't apply for a loan myself due to my credit rating being very poor, so this is the only way to do it. We have worked out what we need to borrow and what repayments can be made. The worry of my debts is causing me ill-health so my partner borrowing will give me (and us) a fresh start. Yes, I know he should be on the electoral roll, we thought he was!
