Notice period with Annual Leave Balance questions

I am looking to change roles asap, my notice period is a month, and my leave year ends at end of August.

Can anyone confirm if I handed in my notice and have accrued leave entitlement of 10 days for example can I work two weeks only? Or ask for the remaining leave accrued to be paid in final pay?

We currently have flexitime I am up 4 days roughly I believe colleagues have had to use that within their notice period before as they were not going to be paid for it.

My leave is 25 days but I had some carried over from last year, so currently have Balance of 19 days, 13 committed (mostly august) and 6 remaining. If I stayed I would likely carry over 5 again.

We get paid middle of month for the whole month so depending on when I 'left' I could be short so would be keen to have the leave paid to tide over until new company etc.

Thank you in advance.

Accrued unused holiday is at the discression of the employer, take the holiday during notice or pay it, some employer have contractual; statements to get round some of the default rules but with a month notice they probably won't matter.

I think it is a good idea to check for the policies/practice on carry over and TOIL(flexi) and to avoid any complications if an employer tends to not be 100 clean with this is use up the flexi and cary overs so there is a clear count of accrued unused before resigning.

If your last day is in the new holiday year be very clear on what the policy will be for that accrued in the previous holiday year it might be a use or loose
