Sole mortgage including partners income?

I am a first time buyer applying for a mortgage and things are looking good so far. I live with my partner and young daughter. It has all been based on my salary alone for incomings but the outgoings I have put down are all the household bills. Can I include my partners income even though she is not on the mortgage application- it is just a sole application? The reason I haven't included her is that she currently has an IVA and I didn't want the lender investigating her and it affecting my chances. What's the thing to do?
