Can you recommend Solicitors

Hi everyone!

First step over, we have a Decision in Principal... next is the solicitors. Can anyone recommend a good solicitors (online, Swindon or Newbury based) who charge less than £800 for a 190k purchase with no chain?

Thanks

    £800 isnt a bad price.

Any less than that and i would be wondering whether they are going to pick up the phone or whether yours will be at the bottom of a very big pile.

Partner originally from S!!!!horpe, friends recommended solicitor used from there called BRADBURY, ROBERTS & RABY-dealing with us they have been very helpful.

We communicate via e-mail and phone only and she is very good, recommendation by word of mouth for us and price meant we chose her, we are going through the process, offer in, waiting on mortgage so all going well.
    Our house 190k also.
    Her charges are 350£
    + 70 £vat
    = 420£
    12 £ money laundering
    -
    = 432£
+ 60 fees for lodging SDLT
    80 search fees
    1900 stamp duty
    190 land registry fee
    36 bank transfer fee
    2690 £Total

Good Luck with who you chose, all our correspondence is phone, e-mail or letters, we will have to travel to sign docs eventually but that will be a one off so well worth the overall savings. 200 miles from your suggested solicitor are but this will give you an idea if you ask, haggle and find the best value but with word of mouth from someone else whose house buying experience was made smooth because of dedicated legal team :)
