Hi there does anyone know how long does it take to settle a personal injury claim and at what stage do solicitors advise their clients about how much the claim is worth.

It varies from case to case depending on the complexity of the case, the severity of the injury and if liability is admitted0

I've no personal experience but know someone who is about 3 months in and has already been given a 'guesstimate' of what their claim is worth by a solicitor. I'm slightly cynical, as it hasn't even been to the other person's insurer yet. I can't see it settling within the next 6 months.0
