Losing status of a "new user"

Hi everyone,

I just wondered when accounts lose their status as a "new user", whether it is within a certain time period or if it depends on the number of posts?

I am finding competitions on Facebook and posting them on the forum but because I am not able to post the actual links due to my new user status, i feel like i'm only doing half a job and being irritating to other forum members who then have to go and find/post the link for me

Hope today has been a good comping day for everyone

MSE don't announce how many posts are required, but it shouldn't be long now
