Pockmarked wool coat...

I don't really know how to describe this, but I have a lovely woollen coat that is kinda pockmarked around the pocket area where my bag constantly brushes against it. Is there any way to rescue this area, to get rid of the marks, old-style or not(!)?

Thanks!

Do you mean it is bobbly? If so then you could use a pair of nail scissors to carefully snip the bobbles off? If you have one use a cashmere comb that is what i use on all my jumpers.
