experian report

I have just checked my experian report, it is 760, which is fair, and it has two defaults, one which was satisfied in november 2009, and one which was satisfied in feb 2010. Both were paid off.

Would this affect my ability too get a mortgage?

My husband also done his, which came back at 825......i am now beginning to worry as we have accepted an offer on our house, even though we are still looking for one too buy??

Any advice please

Defaults will affect your ability to get a mortgage.

You should engage an experienced, independent mortgage broker without delay.

its what info is needed for the "new" criterria,,, i have just phoned independant mortgage broker, and he has said, because of the age of the debts, ie, five year plus,,, he cant see it being a problem, as he would ring the mortgage companies first and ask if they would accept my defaults, before he actually applies for a mortgage.
