Hello
I am considering buying my local authority flat under the RTB scheme, the market valuation should be around £115'000,
using my estimated discount I should be able to get it for around £42'000.
I am 52 years old and would be a first time buyer.
I've been out of work for a couple of years with a injury, but am getting back to work now. I am self employed as a Bricklayer/Builder.
What's the chances of me getting a Mortgage ? Any helpful advice

Can you demonstrate your ability to pay a mortgage?0

I suspect that you will need to wait a couple of years in order to demonstrate sufficient income to a lender through the use of your tax self-assessment returns.0

Agree with previous posters but suggest you get professional mortgage advice from the Money Advice Service who are free, unbiased and independent. Sorry as a new user I can't post a link!0
