Morgage Lender & Council Tax

Evening folks
Went BR in August of last year. Property was repossessed early December. I received the notice of repossession from my local county court around a week later. The lender's solicitors have informed the local borough council that the property wasn't repossessed until February of this year, meaning an extra 2 months has been added to the final bill. I've resent the repo document (for the 3rd time now) to the council, it clearly shows the early December date and also states that i needed to vacate the premises on or before 01-01-14 (I'd moved out by September 2013 and into my rented flat). If i get no sense from the council tax dept, should i just contact my O.R and let them deal with it ?
Cheers in advance

Yes, according to the paperwork i received from the county court, but according to the lender's solicitors it wasn't repossessed til early February0

what you probably got was an order that the property be repossessed, it is not actually repossessed until the lender actually takes possession which may be some time later.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Cheers debtinfo, just assumed the court document and the fact i had to vacate by 01-01-14 would have meant it was repossessed in early december0

just to add though, just because the liability hadn't yet pastto the mortgage company because it hadn't quite yet been repossessed doesent mean that there are not other exemptions could claim, such as empty property and property owned by a trustee, so you might want to look into themHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
