Newbie, loan documents

Hi guys,
Newbie here trying to finally sort my life out after a failed marriage.
I remember sometime ago some letter templates on here, can;t find them now. The story is, I know you can request documentation of a loan from the existing company, and they had a time frame to provide evidence of debt.
Need to know if thats still the case, and where the old templates are?
Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome
You can request a copy of the consumer credit agreement - see info on this link - https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/factsheets/Pages/39%20EW%20Credit%20agreements%20-%20getting%20information/Default.aspx
In terms of the time frame the rules may have changed since the old information and templates you recall.
The creditor should supply you with the CCA when requested within 12 working days and if they don't within that time they cannot enforce the debt until they do send you one. So if at a later stage they do then produce the CCA (even say a year later) they could then enforce the debt again.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Ah,
I thought they couldn't enforce it after 40 days if they fail to produce the documents.0 -
Used to be the case several years ago, not any more.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
