Things like childcare costs, student loan payments, grounds rent & service charges will all be factored-in in future, where they may have been ignored previously.I am a mortgage broker. I found my broker through recommendation, turns out he was EA based but he's been wonderful - always responded quickly, kept me in the loop so I never had to chase and got us a great deal on a mortgage.
We've paid for him but it was worth every penny - my OH wanted to plough straight in and go for a Barclays mortgage but after finding out their terms it's likely we'd have been declined a few times before getting a broker anyway...0 -
Did you get a deal you wouldn't have got if you'd gone directly to the mortgage lender?0

Isn't that always the risk with any limited term deal? What happens when the relatively short term compared to the mortgage term ends??0

None of these things are applicable to us.
Will we still be ok borrowing a max of 3.5 (actually 3.2 after ten percent deposit) times salary?
We had a mortgage approve for less but because of a bad survey we have to walk away. We are changing location for our search but it's more expensive and next application will only be in the next 3-6 months when we find a house. If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:0 -
I'm talking about your future ability to remortgage, not your current circumstances. You need to be aware that a change between now and then may impact your future ability to remortgage if your current lender offers you no customer retention options.I am a mortgage broker.
