    Don't think you have to enter everything (it can be overwhelming at first);

    Don't worry if you miss a big one there's plenty more around the corner;

    Don't ever feel dishearted if you don't win straight away, stick with it;

    There are a lot of comps that finish at the end of the month so try to get through them earlier in the month if you can;

    And finally, I hope your first win is a goody! Good luck, happy comping!

    Welcome shayal2!

    As a relatively new comper, I would say that the advice given is really good. To reinforce sydroo's first two points, it is sometimes hard to keep a perspective: even if you comped for 24 hours you could never enter everything. Some of us get a bit anxious if you "miss a day" - actually it is important to retain a perspective. Strangely it is harder to do this if you actually get some small wins (just one more comp entry......!).

    We all comp for different reasons so you will want to understand why you are doing it and to enter comps accordingly. Good luck!
    Still cracking on....

    Thank u all for the useful tips xxxx

    Just one question x

    I have read that some competitions can throw you out if u enter too many times. So do you recommend just entering once per comp unless otherwise stated?

    hi, yes, always best to read the t&c's,
