Isn't it absurd that a person with no disability can get DLA because they know how to fill the forms in. Yet someone who has a genuine problem gets nowt because they don't fill the form in right. Surely a GPs opinion must count for something? When you've been seeing a doctor about the same thing for years they're bound to know what your needs are likely to be. Maybe I'm just cynical, but surely the doctors that the DWP get to see people are paid to do so, and as such will it not be in their interest if they wish to get repeat work to give information that will lead to claims being disallowed? ie Saying any pain you may be suffering is 'in your head' because you have depression, when in some cases the pain is the cause of the depression not t'other way about!

I think actually your GP can appeal thier DRs reports etc, can anyone confirm whether this is true/:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I have a long term health condition that is covered by the DDA for work purposes but at the same time I do not qualify for any DLA or similar, even tho I can be rendered virtually immobile at times. I only declare the condition when applying for a job that may be sympathetic, other jobs I simply don't declare it. Survival I guess.0
