Evening all,
I was hoping for some support and advise. I wish to do something more with my life. I currently work for a high street bank and spend my whole week on the phones with customers. I feel very unfulfilled and want to do something more, hence this post. Has anyone got any idea about the types of jobs I could go for?
Thanks

Hello.
As someone who had a drastic change of career myself, I sympathise with you.
Here are some questions which might help to crystallise your thoughts:
#Do you enjoy interacting with the people on the phone, (aside from the subject matter), or would you prefer to have less contact with the public?
#If the former, would you be happy with face-face interaction?
#Are you good at explaining things to people?
#Are you in a position where you could undertake a course of vocational training, either full-time or part-time?
#If full-time training is an option, would you be able to weather a drop in/loss of income while you were training?
#Would you be happier with a desk/office job, or one where you were out and about a lot?
#Would you like a job where you're using your hands? Do you have any artisan, craft, DIY or trade abilities?
#Do you have any artistic/design inclinations?
#Do you have any ability or interest in languages, music, history, etc.?
#How good are you at finance, numerical things generally, computers, technology?
#Do you have any business acumen?
#Would you be prepared to move to another town, or even another region?
Well, that's for starters! Hopefully that can give you two columns, one for pros and abilities, and one for cons and no-gos.
Hope this helps a bit!(I just lurve spiders!)

I would say your career options would be determined by your education and previous work experience. Your post doesn't go into too much detail other then you work at a call centre, please do elaborate on this.
However, If assuming you do not have much experience/education all you need to do is ask yourself what would you be willing to do for free? once you do have an answer try to get some training and education in that field and maybe some experience over the weekend i.e. volunteering etc... All of this will take quite a lot of time and effort. But its worth It!
Beyond that there are a couple of jobs that you could go for, door-to-door sales jobs usually have ok commission and if you are good at sales you could make a lot of money (I used to do this and the job is actually quite fun provided you don't mind walking a lot). Recruitment is a booming field right now although most of the jobs require a degree there are some that just need sales experience, recruitment jobs usually start with a small basic salary and offer a commission structure based on the number of candidates placed, I have friends working in this field and they seem to love it!
Well thats all the advice i can offer for now, but do tell us more about your aspirations and maybe we could give you better advice0
