Time to sort my life out!

Evening all, and happy Easter. Have been inspired by a certain diary to sign up and attempt to get some sort of handle on my situation as this month has thrown our plans a bit and I don't want to carry on in the same cycle I have been, although truth be told I have no idea where to start - haven't had a proper idea of my outgoings for about a year now and have no idea how much my actual debt is (between me and OH maybe £35k, maybe more). Have a generous overdraft which I've only in the last few months needed to use, but Barclays changing their charging means what could be £5 a month interest could now be £25 shortly so another reason to get a grip. Have 3 cc's of my own and 2 of OH's, as well as two loans (one for a car, worth as much as the loan still but won't be getting rid of it!).
We are facing up to the fact that we need to find somewhere to live and no-where is going to be as cheap as our current place, and also the harsh reality that we should be in a position to buy if we were wise but we're not, we're frivolous. So currently although I'm facing an imminent increase in outgoings, I'm looking to ensure that once I hit that glass ceiling I don't smash it, and instead try and be a lot more MSE. Today's big achievement was convincing OH to pay off £2,000 on a card that I've repeatedly shuffled for him after this last switch to 0% for another year (onto one of my cards
), so he will now put £200 a month towards this rather than just giving me the fee every time it needs shifting. Beyond that I don't really know where to start but I'm hoping I can figure it out... Sorry it's a bit vague but I thought if I didn't start now I never would so call this a foot in the door I guess!

Everyone has to start somewhere - good luck. You might want to do an SOA (statement of affairs) so you can see all the interest rates and balances etc. People will be able to suggest areas where you can cut down."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Hi easterbunny9 and welcome to the family!
Here's a link to the SOA (Statement of Affairs). If you complete it and post it here, people will be able to provide you with some tailored advice.
