YOu could get something sorted out now in time for when your current deal expires, and if it is better leave Abbey, but of Abbey offer you a better deal then you can stay put.
Thanks for the advice herbiesjp, just secured 5.6% for 3 years :j will have to pay £100 deposit of arrangement fees upfront but if Abbey beat that in 3/4 weeks I will eat my hat - well, I don't have a hat but... you know what I mean!
