Sorry if this is the wrong place but I placed a few orders with Argos to be collected "before end of Sunday 20th April" but, as they will be closed, do you think they will still be reserved on Monday morning?

Are these the ones where you just reserve the item, but don't pay for it until you get to the shop? If so, just order it again on Sunday to be sure.0

Will it be open on monday?0

Yes, Monday will be normal Sunday hours around here anyway, i.e. 11-5 I think.
I did reserve them and haven't paid for them but was lucky enough to grab the last two of something so I doubt if they will show as available tomorrow. I can try though, thanks.0 -
Not sure which store you're using OP, but I work for Argos and we are definitely open tomorrow
Depends on the size of the store though. Website will tell you for definite.
We are always quiet on Easter Sunday as I think most people think we're shut, so great time to shop!
Hope this helps someone0 -

That's interesting, albionsarah. The one I use is in a shopping mall which is closed all day tomorrow. I tried the Argos website but that doesn't seem to be up to date as it said the store was open till 7pm this evening and when I went down, it was closed!
I am not surprised that people think you are shut though as, certainly around here (Hertfordshire), the shops seem to be closed Easter Sunday. I am not sure but I thought it was legislation that shops close (in England anyway) on Easter Sunday and on Christmas Day. There was something on the news earlier today which surprised me as even garden centres (very popular on Sundays anyway) are to remain closed tomorrow.0 -

If I remember correctly from my childhood family visits to my Nan in Edinburgh - the Sunday trading legislation at Easter doesn't apply to Scotland. Same as the 6 hours trading on a Sunday doesn't either.0 -
The law that restricts large shops (in England at least) to open only 6 hours on a Sunday also requires those same large shops to close on Christmas Day and Easter Day.0

OP-just re reserve them for tomorrowThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I was able to pick up my orders this morning, thankfully. I had re-ordered too so might end up buying some more stuff as gifts rather than let the bargains go.
What am I like??0 -
Surely people can go without shopping on Christmas and Easter days0
