would the courts actually accept this
Options
My total debt is quite small to most of you, around under 3k, i earn well over 2k a week just none of them are willing to take smaller payments so i ignore them.
They cant actually do much other then send an email. Most of the payday loans are over 2 years old and frozen. I get silly messages like "we have just visited your work, we was told you was out.... Err you have no details where i work let alone live. How ever i would like to now start clearing my credit file. I dont trust stepchange, national debt line said they are sponsored by payday loan companies.
My main concern is mini credit, £100 loan is now £700 after 10 weeks. Id never pay that amount. Would a court actually say you must pay when they know there taking the !!!!?
Id happily clear it right now for 200 which is double there money but they wont accept it.

I would serious but deluded......:eek:0 -
If you took out the loans and agreed to the interest rate and have chosen to ignore the loans... yes, you will be liable for the full amount and the lender has absolutely no legal responsibility to accept a lower payment than owed. A court would not care that the interest rate was high and with your high earnings I can't imagine "nah I don't want to pay" would get you any sort of leeway with repayment.
Step Change is a charity, they do not take any payment and are certainly not some sort of Pay Day loan sponsored scam, I struggle to believe NDL told you they were, they are a legitimate charity that helps a lot of people, however if you call Step Change and tell them you're earning £2,000 per week and have £3,000 of outstanding loans they're going to tell you to pay them off...
(As with Thrugelmir and jonesMUFCforever I'm assuming this post is a wind up, someone earning 2k a week wouldn't have taken out a £100 Pay Day loan a few months back, but whatever I have a few minutes to kill writing a response pretending it's a legitimate question. Also if it is legitimate, you seriously need to get some help with your financial problems, your history is littered with issues... perhaps Step Change will be able to give you some advice on that too).0 -
I can imagine the OP got sidelined by this; Stepchange. How we're funded
Unlike fee-charging debt management companies, our service is funded by creditors, not paid for by clients. This is made possible by the charitable contributions that creditors make to us. As a result, our advice to those in need is genuinely free. It’s based on what’s best for them, not what’s profitable for us.
We’re a charity, so unlike many other debt advisors and debt management companies we're not driven by profits or shareholders. Instead, our debt advice is always free and our priority is always you.

And yes any organisation can have a miss-informed one, have a bad day, when stuff is said it really shouldn't be.. just remembering the friend who was told to call back when something more exciting was happening like bailiffs at the door, or why was there worry they had a car for example.. not putting a fear into people, much.
I've nothing good to say except speak to the lenders direct or their mail redirection centres, your best bet if your serious, depends how you look at it, that poor woman from my debt spiral on C5 recently who for 10 years paid absolute thousands, suffered at the hands of a so called friend for what started as £500, dealt with none moreso then a truer "shark" I do believe, gives any plight with a PDL some real prospective!0
