Littlewoods debt problem.

(APOLOGIES IF THIS THREAD IS IN THE WRONG SECTION)

Hello, I'm new to these forums and currently looking for some advice regarding a debt I have with littlewoods.
I purchased an xbox one from Littlewoods on the buy now pay 12 months later scheme.
After three months of having the xbox I started to receive emails from littlewoods saying I owe money and have missed payments so am being charged for it etc, upon ringing Littlewoods and explaining the situation a call centre operative had agreed to come collect the xbox regardless of its use, (xbox would need to be inspected) as I could not afford to pay it now thus the reason why I clicked buy now pay later. The day it was supposed to be collected it was not collected. ( I waited all day for them to arrive)

Littlewoods have explained when I was purchasing the xbox I did not have enough credits to activate buy now pay later so it automatically removed without it telling me! I again called Littlewoods explained my situation a second time and explained it had been agreed that the xbox is to be collected, the phone operative was very blunt and basically said theirs nothing they can do and I need to start the payments now, stupidly I told them angrily that I will pay in 12 months like I chose at the start.

Since then Littlewoods call me around 6 times a day starting from 8am up until 2100 at night, I have attempted to explain my situation on a number of occasions to which littlewoods are not listening at all and are threatening me with debt collection agents and seething about a bad credit score for 6 years.

Has anyone had this problem before or is their anything I can do surely if I clicked 12 months pay later I expect to receive 12months pay later that's the only reason I used Littlewoods help greatly appreciated.

best write to them, headed formal complaint.

detail what you have said above.

if they fob you off, refer to the FOS.

It would be odd if they put it on your account rather than BNPL and didn't tell you at all.

They may default your account which will screw your credit file for 6 years from the default date. I would check the account entry now.

I presume this wasn't your first purchase on the account?

Also state in the letter that you wish to communicate in writing only and they are to remove your phone numbers. state if they do not you will be making another complaint.

Littlewoods are only second to Orange when it comes to screwing up, go down the written complaint route, although it does take them a few weeks to get round to replying, if after that you are still not satisfied, then go to the FOS. In the meantime you may get letters and calls from NDR which are littlewoods inhouse debt collectors, say account is in dispute and to go away.

Ah, usually in order to benefit from a BNPL offer, you have to have some account history with them, you should of been told this during the order process.
