Finding Jobs in and near Gt Yarmouth, Norwich & Norfolk

Hiya everyone,

I'm looking for some advise as I'm writing this post on behalf of my dad-(approx 54 years old)

He is currently employed in the forces and will be leaving in a few months. He has been applying to various companys for jobs, filling in application forms and been to many interviews ect and has had no luck during the past 2-3 months.

He lives down south, and wont be moving to Great Yarmouth for 3-4 months, but needs to find a job.

Can anyone offer advise on companys that do take on staff or will be recruiting in the summer please ?

Did he get a HGV licence? If so, there's plenty of work at this time of year driving lorries for harvest.

Apart from that, there's the usual agencies offering factory/farm work.

Take a look on the jobcentre website at https://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk and put Great Yarmouth in as the town and 30 miles radius.
