until they were telling me who and giving a very good reason id certainly be saying no to this - 3rd party could mean the newspapers for all you know!
I for one cannot think of ANY third party that would need to be added to your affairs0 -
i am of the same mind it seems to strange, they have put my account on hold for 28 days until i contact them think i may write back and say no way unless anyone has had similar issues that can advise , cheersgoal for 2014....i will manage money better ..must resist shopping..............:A0

is it a form with space for you to fill out someone you want to give authorization to or is it just a general letter saying do you give us permission to speak with a third party?
if the first then is it possible that it has been requested by someone
if you are dealing with a DMC then you shouldnt have to do one of these as they will provide a LOA - has someone answered the phone and said you were in hospital or something like that, they may have sent it out in case someone else was dealing with your finances - sorry just thinking out type
if it is the second and there is not a specific third party then return then write a response advising that you do not give authority for them to discuss the account with anyone other than yourselfThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Ignore it completely, they may try and sell on your details to a claims management company or something of that nature, file it in the recycle binI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Of course it's not going to be to discuss it with a newspaper!
I don't understand some people.
It's Normally to speak to a family member on your behalf or debt management company. Why not call them and find out?
Then you will have an instant answer and everyone can stop speculating.
If you don't like what they are saying, hang up!0 -
