Advice on dealing with calls please

I guess it always going to happen but got home to 3 missed calls from Barclays. I have only just submitted a temporary payment arrangement offer and budget sheet after advice from StepChange.
The only other shark circling is MBNA/Virgin and I suspect they'll be ready to attack soon.
Letters I can deal with. It's the unexpected calls where I might get cornered into agreeing to something I probably shouldn't.
Also I'm not actually with SC in a DMP just taking advice from them but they do have me on record.
Can my approach when they call be to just insist they speak to SC?
Any advice that might lead to them stopping calling is appreciated

Hello there,
You can write to your creditors insisting that you only communicate in writing and that you remove their permission to call you on the telephone. This is a requirement that they must follow, otherwise they could potentially be in breach of harassment rules/laws.
We've a useful fact sheet on credit harassment which you can find *here*.

There is also a great new phone from BT, which you can get cheap on ebay for around £20, on which you can barr either specific numbers or calls in groups, such as with held number, international, etc etc, also has caller display, answer phone, and you can turn off the ringer, control at your finger tips lol !!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
