Do I need to register a company?

Afternoon all.
In my spare time (evenings/weekends) I currently write articles for my local football club's website and matchday programme.
I'm looking into expanding out a bit and offering PR services (I've had enquiries from interested parties) - which would include writing/distributing press releases, and writing articles for the website of a company and also producing material for other football clubs.
If I do this, and am getting paid by them (my current work is unpaid), do I have to register as a business? It would just be myself working on this, from home, in my spare time. Can anyone offer any help?
Thanks,

No, you don't need to be a company (from what you say, its small jobs etc).
You just need to do Self Assessment to pay any due tax/NI etc on you're earnings.0 -
You would be a business but it would be as a sole proprietor. You don't need to set up a Limited Company. As mentioned above, you would need to register for self assessment with HMRC.0
