Hi all,
Just had an offer accepted on a property. Got an AIP from Virgin Money, sent my Partner and I's application off yesterday, do you know when you find out if it has been accepted or not or the stages? We are first time buyers!
Thanks everyone

1. Offer Accepted
2. Mortgage Application
3. Valuation Booked
4. Valuation carried out/underwriting undertaken
5. (assuming everything ok with both of the above) Mortgage offer.
Given current timescales in the industry probably anywhere from 4-8 weeks or more, start to finish.
If you're going through a broker you may get regular updates when various stages of underwriting etc is completed, certain lenders for example will inform the broker if the case has been fully underwritten pending the valuation, so that you know it's ready to go.

Did you apply directly?
If so, ask the lender. They are going to give you a much more accurate answer and their processes may be different if you apply direct rather than through a broker.
If not, you should speak to your broker.
I have never used virgin but im assuming underwritten, valuation instructed, mortgage offered then goes to solicitors.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
